VisionWelcome to the Bible Reading App!
Reading the Bible returns the church today to the tradition of believers to read the Bible together and listen to God’s words.
The shared reading of the Bible by believers is the foundation of the lives of Gods people in the Old and New Testaments.
Reading the Bible reminds believers to remember God’s deeds and their identity as God’s people.
This practice can be seen everywhere in the Bible, including the reading of the law in the time of Moses, the reformation of King Josiah, and the restoration of the people of Israel by Ezra.In the time of Jesus, the core of Jewish life was to read the law and prophets aloud in the synagogue.
The early Christians also maintained this tradition, reading the letters of the apostle Paul aloud when they met.
The apostle Paul himself also attached great importance to the reading of the Bible.
He taught the people in 1 Timothy 4:13: "13 Before I come, you must concentrate on reading the Bible, exhorting and teaching."Now, you can read the Bible together with your group.
As Gods people, Gods words are the bread of our lives.
Reading and listening to the Bible together often makes loving Gods words as simple as loving food.
May you all grow up in the Word of God, and use the Bible to equip yourself to become God’s workers!
Thank you for joining, let us read the Bible together!Party suggestionsWhen you are ready to start your own Bible reading group, it is best to have a printed version of the Bible so that participants can read it.Please discuss and decide with your co-workers to choose a 20-minute, 30-minute, 45-minute or 60-minute reading plan, yes.
It takes 90 hours to listen to the complete Bible. The content of each reading includes: two psalms as the beginning and end of prayer, a passage from the Old Testament, and a passage from the New Testament.
If you use the 45-minute and 60-minute Bible reading plan, you can read the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice in two and a half years. We suggest a pause between reading the Bible so that everyone can reflect on what they have heard in prayer.
The pause is marked in each section. Each part is embedded with a video of the Bible project, which you can play selectively.
The video provides background introduction, such as narrative structure, theme, and history.
These videos are lively and interesting, easy to understand, and can help the congregation to deepen their understanding of the scriptures. At the end, thank everyone for coming and encourage persistent participation.
The discussion session is also optional.
The most important thing is to listen to Gods words together.
